Hot on the heels of Women’s Race Day at Antigua Sailing Week, the National Sailing Academy are hosting its 3rd Annual Steering the Course, as part of an initiative by World Sailing to get Women involved in the sport of sailing.

 

All women are invited to come out and be part of this fun filled day.

 

  • Try Sails - For women new to the sport, we invite you to come and give it a try. Sails will take place at 10am, 10.45m and 11.30am. Try-Sailors should arrive 15 minutes before the booked time slot and have hat, sunglasses, sun creme and water with them & comfortable sports gear.   • Dinghy Racing  - For women who race regularly or would like to give it a try,  3 races will begin at 1pm. Those wanting to enter should arrive at 12pm, confirm registration and rig their boats. Briefing will be at 1pm, and there will be three races. Boats on a first come first serviced basis, so register early. Options of RS Ventures, RS Fevas, RS Zests and Lasers.   • Entry is EC$25 per person.

 

  • Kayak Racing – Race to the Catamaran Marina and Back  or Round the Island (Blake Island) depending on conditions – Single or double kayaks. To book a slot, call or what’s app – 780-1345. Kayak Racing is Free.
