The NSA is delighted that four of its sailors will be travelling to St. Maarten in October to represent Team Antigua at the Caribbean Dinghy Championships. The team has been working on minimizing costs, a major part of which is that all of the participating sailors will be sailing to St. Maarten on Ondeck’s Spirit of Juno this reducing travel costs. With that said there is still money to raise to support entry fees and accommodation.

The NSA will therefore be hosting two events from which the funds generated will support the CDC team. The first event will take place on Saturday, October 8th and is a full-on Games Night. Starting at 5.30pm to 8.00 pm game options will include PS FIFA Tournament, Warri, Giant Jenga, Checkers and Dominoes. Entrance fee is EC$25 and will take place waterside at the dinghy dock. All comers are welcome and a maximum of 32 players will take part in the tournament and prizes will be awarded to the winners. Players can choose to hang out and enjoy the other games.  Food and drinks will be on sale.

Senior Instructor Joshua Daniels says, “We are really pleased to see sailors from the NSA travelling overseas to race at the Caribbean Dinghy Championship. We are working together to support their costs and ensure they can also continue to train up to the event to ensure they are ready to compete.”

The same night the Sunset to Moonlight Kayak will also take place where kayakers leave the dock at 5.30 pm and head out into the sunset around the harbour touring the mangroves, enjoying the bird life and as the sun sets crossing the harbour to Pigeon Point and paddling along the coastline back around the marinas and the lights of the harbour as the moon rises.

The cost is EC$85 per person and can be booked by whats app or call 780-1345.
