The McIntyre Mini Globe Race is a unique solo sailing challenge featuring Class Globe 5.80 yachts—compact 5.8-meter (19-foot) boats designed to make offshore racing more accessible. Competitors navigated a demanding global course, facing extreme weather, isolation, and technical challenges across multiple ocean legs.

From wonderful stories about their English Harbour Rum and how far it went with them around the world, to some of their best (and worst) memories it was a fantastic night celebrating the sailors adventures.

Swiss skipper Renaud Stitelmann, sailing aboard Capucinette, secured overall victory after completing a solo circumnavigation of approximately 24,000 miles. He finished the race in an impressive 180 days, 11 hours, 25 minutes, and 57 seconds, dominating the fleet and winning every leg of the event.

Following Stitelmann’s historic win, the remaining podium positions were claimed by:

  • 2nd Place: Dan Turner (Immortal Game, Australia)
  • 3rd Place: Keri Harris (Origami, United Kingdom)

Other determined sailors also completed the challenging circumnavigation, showcasing the resilience and spirit that defined this inaugural edition.

Among the notable participants was Jasmine Harrison, widely known for becoming the youngest woman to row solo across the Atlantic. Her involvement brought additional global attention to the race, highlighting the diversity and endurance of the sailors competing in this groundbreaking event.
