National Sailing Academy – Booking & Cancellation Policy
To ensure smooth scheduling and deliver the best possible experience for all participants, the National Sailing Academy (NSA) has established the following guidelines for bookings and cancellations.
Please include your preferred date, time, activity, number of participants, and number of boats when booking. Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment, depending on the session type.
General Booking Guidelines & How to Cancel
- All bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your session.
- The remaining balance is due on the day of the activity, prior to the start of the session.
How to Cancel
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to all participants while ensuring we can continue providing high-quality programming.
- More than 7 days’ notice: Full refund or credit toward a future booking.
- 3–7 days’ notice: Eligible for a 50% refund or credit.
- Less than 72 hours’ (3 days) notice: Non-refundable.
- No-shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.
Sunday Bookings
- Sunday bookings must be made at least 7 days in advance.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking for all Sunday sessions.
- Sunday bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of notice.
Group Bookings & Private Events
- For group or private event bookings (e.g., school groups, corporate outings), please contact us directly to confirm availability and payment terms.
- Group bookings may require earlier confirmation and full payment, depending on group size and scheduling needs.
- Cancellations for group or private events must be made at least 14 days in advance to be eligible for a refund.
- Deposits for group bookings are non-refundable unless the cancellation is weather-related and the event cannot be rescheduled.

Weather-Related Cancellations (For Courses & Rentals)
- If NSA must cancel a session due to unsafe weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, we will offer to reschedule at no extra cost, or issue a full refund if rescheduling is not possible.
- Activities will proceed in light rain, unless instructors deem conditions unsafe.
Refund Processing
- Refunds are processed within 7 business days via the original payment method.
- Alternatively, participants may choose a credit voucher, valid for up to 12 months from the date of issue.
