[English Harbour, Antgua] – The National Sailing Academy is delighted to announce that Saturday sailing has officially restarted following a two-week hiatus. This beloved program is essential for new and intermediate sailors, to learn the sport of sailing if they are unable to attend the schools sailing programme during weekdays.

Elizabeth Jordan, President and Founder of the non-profit organization - the  National Sailing Academy, expressed her gratitude: "We are very thankful for the concern shown by parents and stakeholders during our brief pause. The support and commitment from the National Parks Authority have been invaluable in facilitating our return to the water on Saturdays."

A recent meeting with the NSA, the National Parks Authority & Minister EP Chet Greene highlighted the significant role the National Sailing Academy plays in supporting the broader sailing community. Chairman Senator Philip Shoul stated, "As a key stakeholder in the industry, the N.P.A recognizes the important role the National Sailing Academy plays in enabling access to this vital industry for the youth of Antigua and as such is committed to supporting the programme."

Saturday sailing sessions will continue to provide young sailors with the opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence, and foster a lifelong passion for the sport. The program is designed to ensure that all participants, from beginners to intermediate sailors, have a chance to learn and grow in a supportive environment. Children's swimming sessions are also available.
